Below is a list of the commands that are particular to our NS server. They are gathered here for convenience, and this list will be edited as time marches on and plugins come and go. Return to Natural Selection.


[edit] ALL USERS:

say_team @<message>: Send a message to all admins and tempadmins on the server: i.e. "@Wyzcrak is spamming voice constantly despite repeated warnings"

say /stuck or /unstuck: unstick thyself

say /rules: see the server rules

amx_who: display a who's who on the server.

amx_demo <on|off|start|stop|vlyes|vlno|?|help>

-- vlyes: enable voice loopback during demo recordings
-- vlno: do not enable voice loopback during demo recordings

say page_admin <descriptive message>: page an admin to the server via AIM and email. Use this command in allsay (messagemode): ie, "page_admin Wyzcrak is constantly recycling marine start." Admin action is not guaranteed.

gb <player> "<reason>" (requires temporary, opted-in 'gb' access): remove from the server a warned, unregistered player proven to be in violation of server rules
-- <player> can be either the users partial name (enough to uniquely identify one player) or userid. If you want to use the userid, you must prefix it with the pound(#) sign. ex. gb #526 "Communication is required"
-- <reason> is required and must correspond with a Tactical Gamer Natural Selection server rule

rates <player>: check the rates of a given player (can aid regulars in their efforts to help new players fix their rates)

say /rateshelp: show yourself help rates-setting text (can aid regulars in their efforts to help new players fix their rates)

say_team /res: view information about your marine (yes, not alien) teammates (or use the +showRes console command)

clearwaypoint (marines only): remove the waypoint from your HUD

wbmgr <fill|add|remove|clear> [preferred Class]

  • fill: fill the remaining slots on the server with bots
  • add: add a bot
  • remove: delete a bot
  • clear: clear all bots
  • preferred Class: the class you want aliens to eventually gestate into

[edit] MEMBERS:

sm_chat <message>: Send a text message to all Supporting Members (including admins). If you bind a key to "messagemode sm_chat", it will function as typical chat without needing to visit the console.

amx_tagline <tag>: Display a short message when you connect to the server

wblvl <count|name> <lvl>: set <count> bots (or the bot matching the name you specified) to level <lvl>

Example usage
  • wbmgr fill gorge
    fills all available slots with gorges (they start as skulks, evolving into gorges as levels allow
  • wbmgr add gorge
    individually add gorge bots
  • wblvl 4 5
    sets 4 bots to lvl 5, this enables them to evolve to chosen lifeform faster (either instantly or after death).
  • wblvl Iron 5
    individually sets the bot "Ironhide" to lvl 5.
  • add 3 gorge bots, 1 lerk bot, and sets these 4 bots to level 5
    wbmgr add gorge
    wbmgr add gorge
    wbmgr add gorge
    wbmgr add lerk
    wblvl 4 5

amx_extraupgrades: enable extra upgrades for all players in a Combat game

[edit] TEMP ADMINS:

passadmin <player>: Transfers the temp admin designation to <player>

amx_mkick <player> <reason>: Kicks <player>, giving <reason> in a dialog box after the player disconnects

amx_mrandom: forces all players in the readyroom onto a random team

amx_tt <message>: Sends a non-anonymous tooltip to all players

amx_chat <message>: Send a text message to all admins (temp and full)

amx_say <message>: Send a text message to all players

amx_map <map>: change the map to <map>

amx_csay <message>: send a message to all players, centered in bottom of the HUD

amx_tsay <message>: send a message to all players, centered in top of the HUD

amx_psay <player> <message>: Send a private message to <player>

captains: Set the server for a captains game (turns on t-mode, set timer to 45 minutes)

say /hltvsession [comment]: recommend the current game for review during an upcoming HLTV Session. The comment is optional; please be both explanatory and terse when providing one.
